I was inspired.

I felt compelled.

I have news :)

Anaïs is going to be a big sister!!! She is STOKED about it too. She is practicing putting clothes on all her stuffies. She feeds them, diapers them, bathes then, and puts them to nap. She also loves to pretend that she is "goinf to work" and leaves them at grandma's house...i.e. with me :) It is absolutely adorable and I cannot wait until she holds her sibling. I always tell Juan that if I would die at the moment that this happens I would feel my life has been filled to beyond the brim ^_^

So I am officially four months along, and can't wait! We find out the gender of baby on Thursday.

Here are the names we have decided on:

1. Sebastian Alexandre
2. Camille Sidonie

Hopeless romantic, am I :)

What DOESN'T Anaïs do now? Haha, well, she doesn't stop, I guess! She is really into building things with her Legos, she loves playing video games, and she loves reading! She is my best friend <3 div="div">

I will catch up on the latest and greatest in the coming blog!

Well, 'til next time!

i find it funny that sprout [the kid's channel] is doing a segment on mr. mailman going to spain because they won, haha.

i'd like to say that i am ecstatic that my little one is finally eating three square meals a day, and not just that, she also has her snacks and gets excited about them too! right now she is munching down on some broccoli, which she calls "broc"- so damn cute! i find it funny that she likes all these green veggies. the other day she had brussels sprouts...and liked them! she likes asparagus, spinach, peas, oh, i can go on forever. if it is green, she will eat it.

we have been attending storytime at the library, which is, seriously about twenty steps from my house. she loves singing and dancing and watching puppet shows and interacting with other babies her age! we are attending the infant one now, because the toddler one isn't as age-appropriate as they make it seem.

yesterday she went to mimi's and swam in her blow-up pool for the first time. she had a splash!!!!

i can't believe she is turning eighteen months in a matter of days....incredible.

well, over and out!

it's been too long

thanks for tuning in, dear reader. my little one has completely transformed from a cute little fuzzy, squirmy little caterpillar to a sprinting cheetah, haha.

she RUNS. quick, hide!

she TALKS! AHHHHHHHH!!!!

i cannot believe she is almost two...it is just around the corner.

current thoughts:

~kindergarten is but a breath away...i have SOME time, but not all. i have begun homeschooling her with the primary blocks, colours, shapes, numbers, letters, a bit of word recognition.
~what about #2...when will it happen? i really don't know yet, honestly, i am having way too much fun to risk being dragged down by possible morning sickness. maybe in a year :3

so yes, i need to catch up better, but now i must have lunch :3 cheers!

she got to be with all her cousins and aunts and uncle, and well, everyone!!!

sorry this post is so discordant. i am tired x_x

i can now relate to what my mother must have felt that one day. i was nine months old, and she irreverently sat me on her lap in the front seat as my dad and she drove me "a short distance". i always asked myself what the hell they were thinking. luckily, well, obviously, i did not die when that car impacted my dad's old jalopy. my proof of the war i fought? a big, ole' shiner! the pictures are adorable, i guess you'd say, but the thought of what might have been is something i understand now.

today anaïs choked, right in my arms, and as i patiently tried to dislodge whatever was in her throat, she struggled. i think my heart might have stopped a few times because i lost feeling. my brother in law managed to get it out of her, and can you believe it was a dime? i died a few times today, but i feel more alive knowing that she is alright, asleep in her cot, tossing and turning as usual.

for this experience, i cannot forgive myself or the person who was with her. i cannot forgive myself because exactly a week before today something similar could have happened, and we took precautionary matters, almost to what non-parental individuals would call exaggerated.

now my paranoia has skyrocketed :(

...is this a taste of separation anxiety?

weekend is here! hooray! god knows the week has been quite slow :3 missing the hubby terribly during the day [i dismiss the fact he's usually shooting zombies, hehe].

anaïs can say cat, that, this, papa, and boca [that's mouth in spanish], nana [grandma to her, hehe] ^_^ oh, of course, mama and dada.

molars coming in ;\ her appetite went down the drain, lol. slowly recouperating!

happy christmas! we has snow yesterday and today!!!! we took pictures, which are yet to be posted <3 spent the last two days with the family, stuffing our faces and playing with the four precious angels <3 had a wonderful time, thank you all <3

guess who points now? you wouldn't believe what a relief this is, because now i absolutely understand what nini wants then and there! tonight she pointed at her crib while we read books...i thought it was odd, because she LOVES to read, but she was letting me now she was hungry and wanted to sleep! speaking of books, she has many which are read on a nightly basis, and if i start narrating one when they are close by, she will crawl over and bring it to me. IT NEVER FAILS. what a beautiful little gift she is.

anaïs turned 11 months yesterday, and i cannot repeat this enough : the time passes by so quickly, so be greedy and keep them all to yourself as much as possible. every waking moment for me is like heaven with my little one. i am both happy and sad that she is slowly, yet surely, becoming more and more self sufficient each day :*)

to celebrate her eleven months, she got a bunch of new toys to play with, including a fisher-price"computer". this thing is amazing.

we also went to lake dallas, which is HUGE. a great time was had, and she played on the slide and rode the swings!!!

today we took a trip out to downtown plano to see it. we stopped by a triumph dwalership, because the hubby is looking to invest in a new toy, hehe. lots of pretty machines, purr. the actual downtown is small and charming, but nothing like mckinney, although, downtown plano has a superior doll store :3

and finally...delicious fruit!

nini had hew first taste of whole milk today in the form of cream of wheat. wasn't too fond of it. i made a homemade pizza [and i mean the homemade part -- all but the cheese was prepared from scratch]. it is very healthy and delicious with whole wheat dough and veggies! anaïs LOVED it. <3 my pretty girl. she was very hissy fittish today! she threw some tantrums here and there! she's been climbing the stairs a lot. she loves it <3 giggling the whole way up.

she has started waving for hello and goodbye, and even calls me over with a little wave. it's very precious. and now she "reads" all by herself <3 i love this little brussels sprout<3

tomorrow she turns eleven months old. my...how the time passes ;_; i feel something positive in the air...maybe she'll walk :D she's been trying all day!

i'm a bit behind on my posts, so i have a bit of catching up to do!

for starters, i have been keeping up with my fertility charting pretty well. i have two more cycles of tracking before i start planning furthermore!

anaïs has been eating better. as a matter of fact, she had a ton of baked christmas ham on sunday for dinner with the rest of the family. she kept raking it into her little chompers, so i kept feeding her! she seems to love pork o_O pork, pasta, cheese, and bread!

as far as the sleeping, she got over her crib strike finally and sleeps all her naps in there! yay! mommy time!

today was a very active day for her. she crawled ALL OVER, and would throw a fit if you moved her from her trailed destination, lol. of course, this would be when she'd try to yank a cord here, or grab a dirty shoe there, you know, liable reasons. oh, she almost fell into her bath tub today. she would have flipped over had we not been careful. it would have been pretty crazy, so thank goodness nothing occurred.

i miss the hubs. he's been on the road all day. i can't wait to give hima big warm squeeze tonight <3

today was quite pleasant out, so we took the brussels sprout out for a while. since it was chilly, we went to the mall, and there she rode her first carousel!!!! it was very nice because at first i wanted to take her, but had no cash on me, so i stood by the arousel and we watched as it went 'round. well, this family must've seen the excitement on her face and he gave me an extra token he had :D it was very nice! and then, after she went on her first round, the operator asked us to stay for another! the first ride was on one of those carriage-looking ones, and the second she sat on a horse! daddy didn't take a picture though :( she had such a blast! i am planning on taking the holiday spirit family pic sometime this week to send out the card next. i have to hurry ;_;

greatness!!! hubby got the job :D he will either start mid-month or next!!!! hurrah!!!!

little one is still stuffed up. she is so needy right now. it took me almost half an hour to put her down into her bed. she would be fast asleep and all of a sudden she'd start complaining. i have put a pillow for inclination for any secretions to come out easier.

today hubby has a champagne tasting. we'll be going downtown for this. hopefully anaïs is uo for it :3

today i realized just how short a time they stay so little. holding my angel in my arms as she slept, i started crying, i mostly blame my hormonal imbalances at this time of the month, but i was truly sad that she is going to be walking on her own in a few weeks, and eventually running off to get married years down the road. oh god, i am a mess, haha, but i have enjoyed my little sprout in all her stages, but i think right now has been the prettiest stage because she interacts at all times <3

she feels a lot better today. it was cold out, and i wanted to take her for a walk, but decided to hit the mall instead of the sidewalk :3 we went with daddy and had a lovely time. we shared a pretzel, and daddy had a coffee and kolache <3 daddy got an interview for mcafee tomorrow, and we have our fingers crossed ^_^ this job will secure us very well and we will in the long run be able to move out, pay things off, save a lot, and buy our own place in a couple of years :3 i'm very excited!

i cannot express how chopin is the soundtrack to my life. this man rips my heart out, plucks the heartstrings beautifully, shoves it back in my chest, and sews it shut with his melodies. omg, it's so beautiful and dismal and hopeless. reminds me a lot about the past, i don't know why, especially his nocturnes. so, so pretty <3 i am excited about anaïs learning an instrument, hopefully she likes them like her daddy, and she can play chopin for me on piano. i think i would die the day that happened. it will, i just know it.
